Audio

Even though much of the front panel on these radios is taken up by fitting the biggest speaker possible, you’ve got to acknowledge that the general small size is going to limit the audio output.

Things will be OK If your using the radio inside with a low level of ambient noise, but get a nice pair of lightweight headphones (or earbuds) for outside use. This will mean you don’t miss a thing but also extend the battery life as its not being drained trying to run the power hungry front speaker.

Sangean have also taken on board the art of recording audio straight to memory card and currently have some promising portable radios up for grabs.
